Join us during March Break for fun filled days. Explore our exhibits and enjoy daily activities and hands-on fun for all ages.
March 15 - Snowed in at the Museum - Warm up this cold day with delicious hot chocolate, create fascinating snow art, experiment with winter and play fun winter-themed games.
Included with general admission.
12 p.m. Survival Instinct - How do humans live in -60°C and 40°C weather? Explore some of the most extreme inhabited places on Earth, and put yourself to the test, through fun science experiments.
1 p.m. Snow Stories - Join our staff for great story reading in the Hall of Fame. Best for ages 2 to 7.
2 to 3 p.m. Snowshoeing - Enjoy a wintery trek through the historic Doon Heritage Village and try out our traditional snowshoes. This activity is great for ages 5 and up.
3 p.m. Hot Chocolate Bar - Come and warm up at Hazel’s with a complimentary hot chocolate bar. Enjoy a sprinkle of fun in a warm drink to fight back the cold. This activity is great for all ages.
4 p.m. Hockey Experiments - Join our staff in the Christie Theatre to find out why Hockey players use the equipment they use and how friction plays a role. This activity is best for ages 6 and up.
Try your hand at table top hockey and see if you can knock them all down with our snow man bowling! Also see if you can find all the snowflakes scattered throughout the museum.
